Møn

Møn is a beautiful island where you really feel you are in the nature. Here you´ll find beautiful beaches, forrests, nice walks – the most famous one is called camønoen and then Møns Klint which is the no. 1 attracktion on the island.

Møn also has big areas for holiday houses for the summer. These are mainly owned by people from bigger towns or cities where they go here for the weekends or holidays – specially in the summer.

Møn is also known for the “dark sky”. It is protected from lights from cities and is perfect for watching the stars. Though in summer you won´t see as many, as the sky does not go peach black as in the winter.

As mentioned before you´ll also find Møns Klint here. Møns Klint is definately worth a visit. It is a chalk cliffs streching 6 km. and the highest point is 128 m above sea leavel. It is a protected nature reserve and goes back 70 million years. Today, it is still possible to find fossils of various types of shellfish.

It is also at Møns Klint you´ll find the GeoCenter which also is an experience center where you have exciting activities for the hole family. Here you can also hear all about the history of the area and even the birth of Denmark.
